Ordering and delivery
How is my license delivered?
By email, digitally. Once your payment is confirmed you receive the product key, the official Microsoft download link for the edition you bought, and written activation steps. Nothing ships physically, so there is no delivery address to enter and no shipping cost.
How long does it take?
Delivery is automated and normally arrives within minutes of payment clearing. If an order needs a manual check it can take longer, and we will email you if that happens rather than leave you wondering.
My email has not arrived.
Check spam and promotions first. If it is not there, contact us with the email address you used at checkout and we will resend it.
Licensing
Is this a subscription?
No. These are perpetual licenses: you pay once and the license does not expire. This is different from Microsoft 365, which is billed monthly or yearly and stops working when the subscription ends.
What is the difference between a perpetual license and Microsoft 365?
A perpetual license is tied to a specific version — Office 2024, for example. It keeps working indefinitely but does not gain new features, and it does not include the cloud storage, hosted email or multi-device rights that come with a Microsoft 365 subscription. If you want the newest features as they ship, or you need the cloud services, Microsoft 365 is the better fit. If you want to buy once and keep a stable version, perpetual is.
How many devices does one license cover?
One device, unless the product page says otherwise. If you need to license several machines, use the quantity selector, or contact us for pricing on larger orders.
Can I move a license to a new computer?
It depends on the license type, and the product page for each item is the authoritative answer. Retail licenses are generally transferable; OEM licenses are tied to the hardware they were first activated on. If you are replacing a machine and want to reuse a license, ask us first.
Which Windows edition do I need — Home or Pro?
Home covers everything a personal machine needs. Pro adds BitLocker drive encryption, the ability to join a company domain, Remote Desktop hosting, Hyper-V and Group Policy. If you are working from home on a personal PC, Home is enough. If IT needs to manage the machine, you want Pro.
Which Office edition do I need?
Home & Business gives you Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and permits commercial use. Professional Plus adds Access and Publisher. Most people need Home & Business; Professional Plus matters if you specifically use Access databases.
Do I need Client Access Licenses for Windows Server?
Yes. The server license covers the operating system on the hardware. Every user or device that connects to it also needs a CAL, and Remote Desktop sessions need an RDS CAL on top of that. The server license on its own is not a complete licensing position. Tell us your user and device counts and we will work out the correct number with you.
How is Windows Server licensed?
Per physical core, with a minimum of 16 cores per server and 8 per processor. Standard edition covers two operating system environments; Datacenter covers unlimited virtual machines on the licensed host. If you run more than a couple of VMs per host, Datacenter usually works out cheaper.
Activation and support
What if my key will not activate?
Contact us with your order number and the exact error message or code. The most common cause is the wrong edition being installed — a Home installation given a Pro key, for instance — and that is usually fixed in one exchange. Avoid repeatedly retrying a failing key, as that can complicate the diagnosis.
Will my key keep working after a Windows update?
Yes. Routine updates do not affect activation. Replacing the motherboard or performing a clean install on different hardware can require reactivation, and depending on the license type may require our help.
Do you offer support after purchase?
Yes. If you are stuck downloading, installing or activating something you bought from us, write to us with your order number and we will work through it with you.
Business orders
Can I get an invoice with my company details?
Yes. Enter your company information at checkout and the invoice is issued automatically. For a purchase order or a larger deployment, contact us and we will handle it directly.
Do you offer volume pricing?
Yes. Tell us the products and quantities you need and we will quote you.
Payment and returns
What payment methods do you accept?
The payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is processed through Shopify's encrypted checkout; your card details are never stored on our systems.
What is your refund policy?
See our Refund Policy for the full terms. Digital license keys are a special case in most jurisdictions — once a key has been delivered and used it generally cannot be returned — so please ask us before ordering if you are unsure which edition you need. We would rather answer a question in advance than process a refund afterwards.
